Today, I used the strategy of context clues to learn new words. I tried to understand the meaning of unfamiliar words by looking at the sentence instead of using a dictionary right away.
This strategy worked well for me because it helped me think more and understand the word in context.
The new word I learned is affluent, which means rich or wealthy. I understood its meaning from the sentence that compared someone affluent to someone poor.
I think this strategy is helpful, and I will continue using it to improve my vocabulary.
