Today I tried the strategy of learning vocabulary through context by reading a short article and noting down unfamiliar words instead of memorizing word lists. As I read, I highlighted new words and tried to guess their meanings based on the surrounding sentences before checking a dictionary.
This strategy worked well for me because it made the learning process more engaging and helped me understand how words are actually used. Some new words I learned today include “meticulous” (very careful and precise), “ambiguous” (having more than one possible meaning), and “enhance” (to improve something).
Overall, I found this method effective because it improved both my vocabulary and reading comprehension. I would definitely use this strategy again to continue building my vocabulary.
