I understand that to improve my English I need to be able to break down what I say; that’s why I see nouns as the building blocks that name objects or people, and I use pronouns to replace them and avoid repetition. When I want to add colour or detail, I turn to adjectives, whilst with verbs I bring the action or state of my sentence to life. If I need to specify how, when or where that action takes place, I add adverbs, and to establish the logical or spatial relationship between the elements, I carefully select prepositions. Finally, I link my complex ideas using conjunctions and, if I wish to convey a sudden emotion, I introduce interjections, thereby ensuring that my writing is technical, structured and precise.
