I'd rather be fluent in all languages than to be able to communicate with animals. It's an obvious answer for me. Since I'm a human, I want to connect with human beings and being fluent in all languages in an advantage. First, I could be an interpreter, I would be happy to have that job as my profession. Second, speaking another language gives me flexibility and confidence. I could go find a job and make a conversation anywhere, and feel comfortable because I could communicate. In conclusion, I'd love to be fluent to connect with people.
