I personally use Merriam Webster Dictionary to look for synonyms, antonyms, and definitions of words I am unfamiliar with. It helped me during my thesis and to write my essay activities in class. What helped me the most is my own notes taken from the dictionaries I used. I formulate my own definition, and write it on my paper. Through this strategy, I was able to memorize and familiarize myself with words, sentences, and phrases I don't usually use on a daily basis.
