I will attempt to show my understanding of the part of speech (POS) I have learnt, using boldened words to show the POS in the sentences I use.
1. Aquinas-D. is a student on the Saylor Learning Platform. -- Nouns
2. Aquinas-D. enjoys the modules on this ESL Course -- Verb
3. He enjoys taking exercises on the ESL module -- Pronoun
4. Aquinas-D is a studious student on the Saylor Learning Platform - Adjective
5. Aquinas-D. passed excellently from the ESL module to another module. - Adverb
6. Aquinas-D reads and understands the course material of the ESL module very well. - Coordinating Conjunction
7. Since Aquinas-D. started the ESL module, his writing has improved. - Subordinating Conjunction
8. Aquinas-D. is currently logged into Saylor Platform. - Preposition
9. Urgh! He missed it. - Interjection
10. The man is calm. - Article.
I will need more practice to fully get used to the POS, in terms of fully identifying them in a sentence. It is quite funny how this module exposes the limitations one has in the use of English as a Language. However, it is a great resource to cover knowledge gaps.
