There are eight parts of Speech in English language. They are:
Noun which is a naming word. E.g Robert, cat, California, book, success.
Pronouns which are used to replace nouns. E.g it, she, he, I.
Adjectives are used to describe nouns and pronouns. E.g fast, old.
Verbs describe an action. E.g look, walk, is, am, be, do, have.
Adverbs describe verbs, adjectives or other adverbs. E.g quickly, often, never.
Conjunctions are used to join word, phrases or clauses. E.g for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.
Prepositions show a relationship between a noun, or a pronoun and the rest of the sentence. E.g in, on, at, under, before, between.
Interjections are words used to express emotions. They are used mainly in spoken English but rarely in written English. E.g Ouch!
