One way to determine if a point is a solution to a system of linear equations is to substitute the given point into the equations to see if that point is a solution for all of the equations. The point has to be a solution for all of the equations; if it isn't a solution for any of them, then it is not a solution for the system. Watch this video to see examples of how we use substitution to find solutions to systems of equations.
