Let's start by multiplying a binomial by a trinomial. Remember, a binomial has two terms, and a trinomial has three. These problems will look like \((2x^2 + 5)(x^3 + 5x - 9)\). Watch this video, which shows a method for ensuring that all terms in the polynomial (in this case, a trinomial) are multiplied by both terms in the binomial using the distributive property.
