Watch this video for an overview of the carbon cycle. Note that the carbon cycle has serious implications for regulating our atmosphere and climate, such as the production and accumulation of greenhouse gasses. We will not discuss this phenomenon in detail in this course, but it is an important aspect of the study of environmental science.
