Reckless use of credit cards can lead to overspending and cause you to owe exorbitant fees and interest to credit card companies. Your credit score will suffer if you fail to pay your credit accounts on time. Negative balances may mean you cannot obtain credit later when you need it most. These negative aspects can spiral out of control and cause some to avoid using credit cards completely.
