Associative Law of Addition

The Associative Law of Addition can make mental math much easier. For example (8 + 5) + 5 = 13 + 5 = 18, but I could do 8 + (5 + 5) = 8 + 10 = 18. While these are easy numbers, changing the order when adding all three numbers together makes the math easier. Watch this video for examples of how to use this property in arithmetic.
