Like the Associative Law of Addition, the Associative Property of Multiplication works the same way. For example, if I had to multiply 2, 5, and 12. It may be easier for some people to multiply the 2 and the 5 first, then take 10 x 12 to get 120. Others may feel like it's easier to take 5 x 12 to get 60 and then multiply that by 2 to get the same 120. The point is that either method is correct when all three numbers are multiplied together.
